We have so many reasons to thank the Lord our God. Thanking him for our loved ones, our health, a roof over our heads and our jobs to name a few. I also make sure I thank Him daily for His protection. We might not think about His protection when we go to bed at night, or when we wake up to start our day. But we should. We have brothers and sisters throughout the world who may be less fortunate. Their countries are war torn and they endure daily suffering. These are tumultuous times. We are seeing so many signs that we are in the last days. Just turn to any news channel you will hear about acts of terrorism and talks of war. We are seeing global warming, famine and incurable diseases. Senseless acts of violence in this country and abroad committed by adults and even children. Unfortunate, but the Bible speaks of times like these. We must keep the faith. Remain strong in the Lord our God. Do not be discouraged. Put on the full armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-20). And when we fall on our knees giving thanks for our many blessing, pray for our country, our leaders as well as our brothers and sisters around the world.

Breaking Chains to Make a Change
Thank you for all your hard work!
We want to give a special thank you to each person who helped make Breaking Chains to Make a Change a success! Thank you volunteers for all your hard work! Bro. Ali, those hot dogs were great! And of course, thank you sis Carla for organizing the whole thing. Sis Carla would like to thank all the volunteers, with a special thank you to her sister, Sherry, and mom, Pat Nelson. Also thank you Dr. Lanney, Sis April and Sis Esther.

Upcoming Events
A Budgeting Workshop will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Participants will obtain information about how to create a budget as well as how to set financial goals. This is valuable information for those wanting to improve their credit ratings and gain financial stability. RSVP to Bro. Mark Evans at 816 337-8584 or contact the church. Refreshments will be served.
