Update from Peru from Partners In Health in Boston, Massachusetts, United States for Thursday, 27 April 2017

One month ago, torrential rains battered Las Brisas, Peru—bringing floodwaters and mudslides that decimated the tiny village north of Lima.
Like many families, Flor Quispe Pérez and her 1-month-old baby, Celeste, were stranded without clean water or medical care. Flor watched helplessly as her daughter grew listless, with sunken eyes and swollen stomach.
Your support sent PIH medical teams to Celeste's doorstep just in time. Doctors recognized the surefire signs of dehydration and treated her life-threatening condition immediately.
Read Celeste's story today, and see how your generosity aided our emergency response throughout the flood-ravaged nation.

Across Peru, countless families like Celeste's lost everything when historic rains drowned entire villages, killing more than 100 people last month.
But thanks to you, today Celeste and Flor are healthy and safe, with access to clean water and food. A PIH nurse visits their home with diapers and medical supplies in tow—providing Celeste the support she needs to thrive.
That's not all. Your support sent three mobile clinics to the region's hardest-hit communities, where we found and treated hundreds more people in need of emergency aid.
Learn more about the lives you touched in Peru.
