Raising the strong, clear voices of the faith community is absolutely critical at this political moment.
When religion is cynically being used as an excuse to implement regressive policies that hurt people, faith leaders are the most effective voices of opposition.
Our elected leaders and the public they serve need to hear more people speaking clearly about what is right and what is wrong. That’s why I support Groundswell and hope you will give a little right now, too – when a generous donor will match your donation dollar-for-dollar before June 30th.
For my organization, Bend the Arc Jewish Action, partnering with Groundswell has been an invaluable tool to raise the voices of people of faith on the critical issues of the day. Our voices are particularly valuable in the fights on the nature of "religious liberty."
There is no other clergy + people of faith list that I know of that mobilizes quicker than the Groundswell platform does.
Please, make a contribution to keep this tool free for all of us.
One example was in 2015, when we learned that Congress was considering legalizing discrimination in the name of religion. We quickly organized thousands of faith leaders to sign a letter of opposition and Groundswell was critical in getting that large number activated so quickly. We heard from our allies on Capitol Hill that this letter was instrumental in stalling the bill’s hearing and was referenced in a New York Times editorial in opposition to the bill.
I continue to rely on Groundswell to amplify our campaigns and connect with other leaders and people of faith who care deeply about the issues facing our society.
I hope I can count on your support of this crucial organizing tool.
Sincerely,

Rabbi Jason Kimelman-Block
