The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection Downtown in Kansas City, Missouri, United States - Weekly eNote from Pastor Scott Chrostek for Friday, June 30, 2017
Hi RezDowntowners,
I hope this message finds you doing well on this, the last Friday in June!  I'm excited to share some building-related info with you this morning. This has been a great week of progress on our site as construction teams have been moving earth, digging out the foundation and creating the footprint for our new building.  You can drive or walk by and see clearly where our building will sit.  In addition to that, we've added a webcam, some streaming video and additional building-related updates to our webpage at build.cor.org/downtown.  Please be sure to visit this site in order to receive the most up-to-date information going forward.  Also, Kelly and I have posted our fourth video construction update on the RezDowntown Facebook page at www.facebook.com/rezdowntown.  Check it out and share it on social media!
This weekend is a family worship weekend as we celebrate another holiday (July 4) by concluding our sermon series on Upside Down: The Stories Jesus Told That Changed the World.  I will preach my last message in this series from Leawood and will focus on, perhaps, the most well-known parable Jesus ever told: the parable of the Good Samaritan.  It will be a great weekend in worship to be sure!  Before that though, I'm thrilled to share that we're hosting a workshop event later today in conjunction with the National Storytelling Network about telling your organization's story in an effective way.  This event will take place at 1508 Grand from 2-5pm; if you want to grow in your ability to tell stories or write grants for your company or organization, or know someone who might, consider joining us today!

In the meantime, you'll find a variety of ways below to get connected over the next several weeks.  Be sure to take a look...
