Hello Resurrection Blue Springs,
I hope this message finds you dry and  doing well after a night full of stormy weather.
This Sunday will be a family worship weekend as we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July.  Childcare will be available for children under four, but otherwise the whole family is welcome and invited to join us for worship.  We have a special gift for all the kids in honor of the holiday. We’ll be concluding our sermon series on Upside Down: The Stories Jesus Told That Changed the World.  I will be preaching on, probably, the most well-known parable Jesus ever told: the parable of the Good Samaritan.  We’ll also be sharing holy communion together, which will be extra special with our children with us.  I hope you’ll join us!
I want to take a moment to remind you today that In about a month, we'll be a host site for a great leadership resource called The Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit.  Bill Hybels, Marcus Buckingham and a host of other leaders from both the Corporate and Non-profit world will be speaking.  We bring this world-class training in a live simulcast to our church as an investment in leadership development, because we believe it has the power to inspire, transform and equip leaders at any level.  This event is geared toward helping you become a better leader at home, at work and in your volunteer efforts in both the church and in the community.
As a Host Site, we have the privilege of offering this unique opportunity at a deeply discounted price of $89 ($120 off the regular rate). This rate lasts until July 11th and then goes up.  We encourage you to participate in the 2017 Global Leadership Summit, August 10-11 – and invite a friend or colleague to join you.

Be sure to check out the other upcoming opportunities to serve, grow and connect with our community below. . . .
