"The Reconcile Plan" goTandem for Tuesday, 20 February 2018
"The Reconcile Plan"
[God] has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. (Colossians 1:22)
What does it mean to be reconciled?

"Closet Prayer"
"When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you." (Matthew 6:6)
What is the motivation behind the public and private prayers in these verses?
What are your motives when you pray?
***
"Hope"
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
How much of our own effort is expected in this verse?
What does confident hope look like, especially in hard times?
