Due to the weather, we’ve been forced to cancel the first two Saturday games of Upward spring soccer season. The Upward team is working diligently to reschedule games. Look for news soon via email as to the plan for make-up games in the coming weeks. Hoping we will have great weather for our games Saturday, but if cancellation is required it will come through email.
Finally, I hope to welcome many at Coffee with the Pastors this Sunday. If you’ve been considering joining Resurrection West, then come to Coffee this Sunday afternoon! Childcare is available. Register at cor.org/west/signup . We always plan for walk-ins and all ages are welcome to attend. We will cover the history of Resurrection, United Methodism, expectations of membership, and testimony from Pastor Chris and myself.

Ask Anything! – KiDSCOR
It’s “Ask Anything with Pastor Jason: K-5th Edition!” On May 13, K-5th grade kids will welcome a special guest in their KiDSCOR classes— Pastor Jason! He will join each class for Ask Anything, a time for kids to ask any and all questions. Think you can stump the pastor? Kids are invited to prepare their best questions and join us on the 13th!

Saturday Morning Men’s Study
Join us for a 10-week study based on the best-selling book 2 Chairs by Bob Beaudine. He encourages us to talk with God about our troubles and listen for the answers. You’ll be well-equipped to walk courageously through crisis. Study begins this Saturday at RezWest; 8-9:30 am, breakfast served– $5.00 suggested donation. Book is $13. Calling All Muggers!
RezWest is in need of people to deliver coffee mugs to homes of first time visitors. This is a Resurrection tradition that dates back 25 years. Just a doorstep ‘Welcome to Resurrection’ greeting (no in-home visits). Mugs are prepared during each service and may be picked up after the service you attend. rezlife Cookout– May 6
Students will be outside grilling and serving food after each worship service. Support rezlife Student Ministry mission trips as you enjoy a breakfast sausage, burger or hot dog. Your donations help offset the costs of their upcoming mission trip.

Iowa Mission Trip, July 16 - 20
Current 5th-7th grade students. Head to the inner city of Des Moines, Iowa July 16–20 and spend time serving in several ways throughout the community. We will leave at1pm on the 16th and arrive home at 8:00pm on the 20th. Students will lodge at Grimes United Methodist Church (in a suburb of Des Moines). Cost: $200 for students. Free for adults to attend. There are unlimited seats until June 15th. Registration is closed afterJune 15th and our ability to have spots for students after that date is very limited. rezlife West
Shreveport, Louisiana Mission Trip, June 3-9
Current 8th-12th grade students. Students in 8th - 12th grade during the 2017-2018 (current) school year. We are going to Shreveport, Louisiana June 3 - 9 and will be working with Volunteers of America- North Louisiana organization. We will be lodging at a local United Methodist Church. Cost: $275 for students (this includes graduated seniors) $140 for college-aged students (Post HS-Age 21). Free for adults. There are unlimited seats until May 1st. Registration is closed after May 1st and our ability to have spots for students after that date is very limited. Register at cor.org/west/signup.
