Greetings Resurrection Blue Springs!
I hope you have been enjoying your summer and finding ways to stay out of the heat! We’ve had the air-conditioning serviced at church so things are nice and cool here!
As you know, Pastor Penny and the team from Blue Springs are doing great work planting vegetable gardens and putting in a well for freshwater for a village in Malawi. Let’s continue to keep them covered in prayer while they’re gone.
This Tuesday at 7 o’clock until 8:30 pm we will be gathering at Sinclair‘s for our Hymns and Brew. This is going to be a fun time as I’m putting together some hymns that are old and some familiar songs for us to sing. We will order some food and a drink and enjoy some time together. I hope you come and join us for this event, it’s going to be a lot of fun!
This Sunday Pastor Adam will be sharing a message on the movie The Greatest Showman. I look forward to being with you in worship this Sunday and encourage you to invite a friend.

Back to School Drive
Team up with Resurrection Downtown to provide school supplies for our partner school, Wendell Phillips Elementary. We will also collect items for the school’s Tiger Store which provides incentives for students for attendance, behavior and meeting their reading goals. Pick up a bag at Guest Services to fill with school supplies listed on the bag (approximately $35/bag). Don’t have time to shop? Simply donate any amount for items we will purchase in bulk.
Summer rezlife News
Summer Volleyball – Each Sunday evening at 6:30 pm, we will meet for volleyball on the sand courts at Wilbur Young Park (next to Blue Springs South High School). Open to youth and adults. Come join the fun!July 15- 6:30 pm. rezlife will be hosting a Black Panther movie night for all of the youth. We want to welcome our new 6th graders and hope to see them there!
Play Dates at the Park
Have some fun with KiDSCOR this summer at our Playdates in the Park! We will meet at 9 am at different parks throughout the summer so the kidscan play and parents can mingle! Bring your kids, friends and neighbors too!

Hymns & Brew
July 24, 7-8:30 pm at Sinclair’s Restaurant (1402 NW Hwy 7, Blue Springs) Come ready to grab a drink and join us in singing selected hymns and familiar songs. Your choice of beverages and food available for purchase from Sinclair’s excellent menu.

Blood Drive
Thursday, August 2, 3:30-7pm, Fellowship Hall Put your faith in action by donating blood! It takes about one hour and has the potential to save two lives. Walk-ins welcome, sign up Sunday at Guest Services or make an appointment online here.
