CAMPMEETING
I am looking forward to our annual District Campmeeting next week. I always enjoy this time of spiritual renewal and encouragement.
As previously communicated, we have two outstanding speakers: Dr. Scott Daniels and Dr. Susie Shellenberger. Scott has been a frequent speaker at Campmeeting and is currently Lead Pastor at Nampa College Church. Susie is a fulltime evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene traveling and speaking 43 weeks/weekends a year. She has written 57 books and has appeared on several national television programs. Dr. David Caudle, Lead Pastor at Mesa First and newly elected SDMI Chair, will share devotionals during the Morning Watch gathering.
Both the Prime Time get together on Friday afternoon and Family Day on Saturday were well attended last year and will return this year. Rev. Diana Elliott, Lead Pastor at Chino Valley Community Nazarene will share a devotional in the Prime Time gathering.

SPANISH MASTER OF MINISTRY FROM PLNU
I received this communication from Dr. John Calhoun at Point Loma Nazarene University about positive changes in the Spanish language Master of Ministry degree:
"I want to update you about the advances that we have been working on to assist our Latinos pastors, regarding a higher ministerial education in the Spanish language.
PLNU and SENDAS (Nazarene Seminary from Costa Rica) have signed an agreement to create a special program to help those pastors that obtained a BA from Latin America. Also, it is for those that have already finished their ministerial education program for ordination in their local districts to be able to enroll in the Master of Arts and Christian Ministry degree in Spanish offered here at PLNU. (This Master's degree can now be completed in two years instead of three previously.)
The new GAP program is an intensive one-year of classes that we would like to offer in three locations (San Jose, PLNU, and Tucson) to cover all the districts where we have a very strong Hispanic presence.
Therefore, please help us to get the good news to the Latinos Pastors in your district."
ON MISSION
I received these extremely encouraging stats from District Co-NYI Presidents, Rev. Dave Charlton and Rev. Sean Gafford concerning Senior High Camp:
- I ask Jesus into my life for the first time - 36
- I recommitted my life to Jesus - 71
- I felt a call into full-time ministry - 22
- God began a work of healing in my life - 85
I am grateful for these District leaders and their passion to impact the lives of children and teens with the positive message of God's love, forgiveness and healing. Thanks to all children and youth volunteers, leaders and staff members for your outstanding ministry!
