New Way to Raise Funds for Ministry
I had the pleasure to speak last month with Andrew Miller, the co-founder of KindCoins. The conversation went well and we have had great ongoing dialogue since then. The app seemed to be something which would be great for churches and other nonprofit organizations so I wanted to share it with you.
Imagine your church receiving thousands of additional dollars every year to use in ministry. Where would you invest those funds – starting a new ministry, upgrading technology, advertising, sprucing up the nursery, sending people on a mission trip, paying for repairs? The choice is yours.
The process is simple. People in your church either sign-up online or download the KindCoins app. They select your church, enter their credit/debit card information and it is securely stored on the server of the processing company. Each time they use their card their purchase is rounded up to the next dollar and the change goes to the church. The funds are sent monthly to the church with a full report of the giver’s name and contribution. And the church spends the money however they choose. It is as simple as that.
