Global Nazarene Mission ~ Prayer Mobilization Line ~ Wednesday, 23 October 2013 ~ Be still and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.(Psalm 46:10 NLT)
PRAISES:
PNG Hospital
Last week we received an urgent request for a situation at the Nazarene hospital in Papua New Guinea that caused the hospital to close temporarily. Four men, who had previously caused problems with the hospital’s hydro project, were recently arrested for stealing from the project. These men were soon released on bail and immediately began to seriously threaten the hospital and hydro project. We praise God that the community has been coming together in support of the Nazarene Medical Ministry in Kudjip resulting in the decision to re-open the hospital. Please continue to pray for ongoing challenges as God continues to powerfully use our ministries in Papua New Guinea.

PRAY FOR:
GLOBAL MINISTRY REQUESTS
Troutman Visas
Phil and Paula Troutman, global missionaries to Lusophone Africa, are waiting for entry visas into Angola and have had to delay their departure. Please pray that the visas will be granted in a timely manner so that they can leave in November.
Work in Guinea-Bissau
Missionaries Mario and Irma Martinez work in the Portuguese-speaking country of Guinea-Bissau and they have found creative ways to share Christ. On Saturdays they conduct a “Children’s Club” and have more than 100 children attending. They have a meeting at their home on Sundays with 22 adolescents, youth, and adults and several accepted Christ after the first meeting. Mario and Irma say, “We are located in a neighborhood where the majority is of another faith. This involves a challenge, so we ask your prayers for wisdom to reach them with the love of God.”
Middle East Television Series
Please be in prayer for the World Mission Broadcast team in the Middle East. They are in production on a television series that will air in the weeks leading up to Easter in 2014. The exciting series will engage people of different faiths in discussion about who they believe Jesus is.
Korean Missionary Conference
Pray for the Korean Missionary Conference that is underway (Oct. 21-24) in a key city on the Asia-Pacific region. Nineteen Korean missionaries along with Korean mission leaders and selected Field Strategy Coordinators from three different World Mission regions will meet with Regional and Global Mission leaders. The aim of the conference is to improve missional alignment and collaboration between the Korean Church and Global Mission.
Philippines Response Teams
Pray for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries response teams as they deal with several situations that occurred right on top of each other in the Philippines. An earthquake, typhoon, and on-going conflict have resulted in multiple opportunities for the church to be the hands and feet of Jesus to people who are suffering. Click here to read more.

Thank you for praying.
"Wait on the Lord" is a constant refrain in the Psalms, and it is a necessary word, for God often keeps us waiting. He is not in such a hurry as we are, and it is not His way to give more light on the future than we need for action in the present, or to guide us more than one-step at a time. When in doubt, do nothing, but continue to wait on God. When action is needed, light will come.(J.I. Packer, Knowing God)
