Trinity United Methodist Church "The Tuesday Word" Newsletter for Tuesday, 27 May 2014

Trinity United Methodist Church "The Tuesday Word" Newsletter for Tuesday, 27 May 2014
Dear Friends,
We are less than a week away from our big celebration - after 20 years of having a mortgage from all that we have built together, we at long last pay it off!  Prior to this past weekend we were at $80,000 and counting.  Because of the holiday on Monday, we don't yet have an update of our status, but I'll send a special email tomorrow or Thursday to let you know where we are.  I hope you can join us for the one huge service this Sunday at 10 am, followed by lunch for everyone.
As excited as I am about the mortgage burning, I'm equally excited that God enabled us to accomplish this while also helping us expand our missions exponentially, making our congregation more diverse and more like the Kingdom of God, more involved with our community, and now calling us to live into the next arenas of the possibilities God has for us.
Love and prayers, Dan

A word from Rev. Esther:   I'll be at La Gonave, an island of Haiti, from June 21 through June 27.  Could you help our team provide for the children of the village of Pikmy by donating children's multivitamins, children's pain/fever reducer, and/or powdered formula by June 5? You can drop them off in the blue BOGO bins or my office.  Also, please be in prayer, even now, for our team and those we'll be serving.  Can't wait until the mortgage burning this Sunday!  Blessings & peace--
A word from Rev. Aaron:  Greetings, friends! After a wonder-filled visit to the Holy Land, "it's great to be home." If you would like to see a photographic recap of our trip, please visit my blog, where I have posted entries for each day. I am looking forward to being back with the 6:35 community tomorrow night and to our momentous Mortgage Burning Celebration on Sunday! God is good! Have a great week everybody!
