Scripture Text to read: Mark 11:1 As they were approaching Yerushalayim, near Beit-Pagei and Beit-Anyah, by the Mount of Olives, Yeshua sent two of his talmidim 2 with these instructions: “Go into the village ahead of you; and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it, and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it,’ and he will send it here right away.”
4 They went off and found a colt in the street tied in a doorway, and they untied it. 5 The bystanders said to them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They gave the answer Yeshua had told them to give, and they let them continue. 7 They brought the colt to Yeshua and threw their robes on it, and he sat on it.
8 Many people carpeted the road with their clothing, while others spread out green branches which they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who were ahead and those behind shouted,
“Please! Deliver us!”[a] [b]
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai!”[c]
10 “Blessed is the coming Kingdom of our father David!”
and,
“You in the highest heaven! Please! Deliver us!”[d] [e]
11 Yeshua entered Yerushalayim, went into the Temple courts and took a good look at everything; but since it was now late, he went out with the Twelve to Beit-Anyah.[Footnotes:

We coem to this remembrance of the day Jesus sent His disciples in Jerusalem to get a colt for Him to ride on into the city of Jerusalem. We have heard many stories and sermons as well as lessons on this text, but what did this really mean for Jesus to do this. We think of the followers of Jesus who were left to be His witnesses after His death, resurrection and ascension as they continued to attend synagogue and Temple worship listening to the Hebrew Scriptures being read. As they sat and heard one prophetic writing, they could have reflected on the day that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a colt and the people proclaimed Him as the Messiah as they asked God to save them, which could have meant from the Romans. They thought on these words and Jesus actions as well as the crowds and realized that Jesus was and is saving them from the legalistic teaching or misinterpretaion of the Law and the Hebrew Scriptures. Here we see that Jesus takes it in and than dismounts and enters the Temple deciding to leave Jerusalem because it was late in the evening. We think about our own lives and how we have been in circumstances or predicaments where we cried out to Jesus to save us from expecting Him to deliver us from such times, but only to discover later that He was with us with His Grace to see us through and be drawn closer to Him. Truly, Jesus is the King and leads us to save us from ourselves and the hatred that too often we live in instead of His Holy Love for Him, oursleves, and all other people. How do you view today as we remember Jesus Triumphant entry into Jerusalem? How do you live out Your Holy salvation in Love for God, yourself, and all other people? Will you be all Jesus has called you to be now and forever? We come to remember His Passover Meal in coming and partaking of the Eucharist singing the Hymn "Long As I Got King Jesus" by Vickie Winans
Verse 1
I've been lied on, cheated, talked about, mistreated, I've been used, scorned, talked about sore as bone,
I've been up, down, almost to the ground
(Chorus)
But long as I got king Jesus, long as got king Jesus, long long long as I got
I don't need nobody else
Repeat Verse 1
I've been lied on, cheated, talked about, mistreated, I've been used, scorned, talked about sore as bone,
I've been up, down, almost to the ground
Chorus
I've been lied on, lied on, lied on, lied on
Have you ever been lied on x 2
Do you know what I mean
Bridge:
I don't need nobody else x4
Verse 2
Mother, father sister, brother, no doctor nor lawyer, nor preacher, nor teacher,
Chorus
I've been lied on, lied on, lied on, lied on
Have you ever been lied on x 2
Do you know what I mean
Bridge
No father, mother, sister, brother, no doctor nor lawyer, nor preacher, nor teacher,
Chorus
I've been lied on, lied on, lied on, lied on
Have you ever been lied on x 2
Do you know what I mean
Verse 1
But Long long long long long oh oh oh oh
Long as I got king Jesus x2
I know he's a burden bearer,
I know he's a heavy load sharer,
I know, a bridge over water,
Oh lord, a doctor and a lawyer
Good God, a friend when you're friendless,
Oh lord a mother when you're motherless,
He'll be, bread when your hungry
He'll be, a comfort when you're lonley,
Long as I got, long as I got king Jesus
I know he's a burden bearer,
I know he's a heavy load sharer,
Good God, a bridge over water,
Oh lord, a doctor and a lawyer
Long as I got King Jesus x2
Wait a minute, wait a minute hey,
I got him jesus, I got him Jesus
He's a lily of the valley,
He's a praying morning star
He's a rose of Sharon
He's a Great I am
He walks with me, and talks with me
He's Jehovah, jara, jehovah, raffa,
Jehovah, jhama
He's the alpha and the omega,
He's the beginning and the end
He's my first, last,
He's my very best friend
I call him in the morning
I call him in the Evening
Jesus, oh jesus
Jesus, oh Jesus
I love him, I adore him,
I worship him, I lift him up
Do you want him, I got him
Do you have Jesus, Jesus
Chorus
I've been lied on, lied on, lied on, lied on
Have you ever been lied on x 2
Do you know what I mean
