[Caregiving Listserve] from the National Alliance for Caregiving
Dear Colleagues:
We are excited to invite you to the upcoming release of the Caregiving in the U.S. 2015 report. Conducted in partnership with AARP, this new research provides insights into high hour caregivers (21+ hours of care a week), caregivers over age 75+, multicultural caregivers (including African American, Hispanic, and Asian American populations), and the challenges facing caregivers in the workplace.
The report will be released on Thursday, June 4th at 1 pm, at Rayburn House Office Building, Room B-339. Light refreshments will be served. To register, please visit bit.ly/Caregiving2015.
U.S. Representative Michele Lujan Grisham (D-NM), a family caregiver and co-chair of the Assisting Caregivers Today Caucus will give opening remarks. U.S. Representative Diane Black (R-TN), a fellow co-chair of the caucus, will also provide remarks. The release will feature presentations on the data from lead researchers Gail Hunt, President and CEO of the National Alliance for Caregiving and Susan Reinhard, Senior Vice President and Director of AARP's Public Policy Institute & Chief Strategist, Center To Champion Nursing in America. Additionally, there will be family caregivers on the panel to provide their perspective on the importance of this new research.
