Our movement to keep families together is growing stronger.
Earlier this month, families, people of faith, and community and immigrant leaders joined us in a multi-day fast and protest in front of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) headquarters in DC to demand relief for Arturo and Rosa – both still living in Sanctuary to ensure their families are not separated by unjust deportations.
Over 200 people around the country stood with us to demand that ICE follow President Obama’s orders to ‘implement discretion’ and keep families and communities together instead of tearing them apart.

Here’s a photo of us in a Congressional hearing on immigration just as ICE Director Sarah Saldana was about to speak. I’m the one holding the “I am Arturo" sign.
I work at Church World Service, and we’re proud to serve a unique role of helping coordinate the Sanctuary movement nationally while supporting actions like this fast at ICE headquarters.
As we continue to grow our movement to stop unjust deportations, I want to invite you to sign up to hear from us and continue to walk with us in the Sanctuary movement.

As the 5 million people who could be granted relief from deportation as a result of President Obama’s executive actions on immigration continue to wait for the 5th Circuit Court decision, we must continue to press the President and ICE officials to implement prosecutorial discretion and keep families and communities together.
Although there is still much to do, we could not have gotten to this point without you – thank you for being a partner in this struggle to keep Rosa, Arturo, and thousands of our immigrant brothers and sisters facing separation united with their families and communities.
Together, we continue in the struggle for justice.
In Solidarity,
