"Who do we reach?" from David Brickner, Jews for Jesus for Saturday, 27 June 2015

"Who do we reach?" from David Brickner, Jews for Jesus for Saturday, 27 June 2015
One question I am often asked is how many people does Jews for Jesus reach? I love this question because we make a concerted effort to measure our effectiveness in each of the many ways we reach out.
For example, this month in Paris we held a two-week street outreach. Our team hand delivered 79,345 Gospel tracts, received contact information from 330 people of whom 66 were unbelieving Jews and prayed with 2 Jews and 3 Gentiles to receive the Lord.
Last night at our Moishe Rosen Center in Tel Aviv more than 300 Israelis attended our art show and music concert. That is the largest turnout yet at an event we have hosted for unsaved Israelis. The long-term effectiveness will be seen in our follow up with all those who attended.
I’m grateful that our ministry measures effectiveness, but whether there are hundreds or a handful it’s not about large numbers. I can assure you: if our ministry reached just one person with the saving message of the Gospel, it would be worth it!
The current challenge we face, though, is one that has us weighing which opportunities we can afford to pursue in our ongoing efforts to share the Gospel.
