"Happy Times (10)" for Saturday, 10 June 2017 - Deaf Devo - The Deaf Missions in Council Bluffs, Iowa, United States - Bible Reading: Revelation 19:6-9
Revelation 19:6 Then I heard what sounded like the roar of a huge crowd, like the sound of rushing waters, like loud peals of thunder, saying,
“Halleluyah!Adonai, God of heaven’s armies,[Revelation 19:6 ]has begun his reign!
7 “Let us rejoice and be glad!
Let us give him the glory!
For the time has come for the
wedding of the Lamb,
and his Bride has prepared herself —
8 fine linen, bright and clean
has been given her to wear.”
(“Fine linen” means the righteous deeds of God’s people.)
9 The angel said to me, “Write: ‘How blessed are those who have been invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb!’” Then he added, “These are God’s very words.”

Today is our last devotion about happy times. We all have happy times and sad times here on earth. But someday when we live forever with God, all of our times will be happy!
We get an idea of what this happiness will be like from our Bible verses today. These verses tell us that John heard a large crowd of people. They were saying (verses 6b-7a), "Hallelujah! Our Lord God rules. He is the All-Powerful. Let us rejoice and be happy and give God glory!" Wow! That really sounds like a time of happiness and rejoicing!
Maybe you are a Christian, but you feel you are not experiencing many happy times here on earth. You can receive comfort by knowing that someday your unhappy times will be over. Then you will live for ever with God.
Think about these things today. And remember that God will help you with your problems and take care of you!
"Now God's home is with people. He will live with them. They will be his people. God himself will be with them and will be their God." [Revelation 21:3b]
PRAYER: Father, I look forward to living forever with You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
