Happy 4th of July
Dear Neighbor,
 Happy 4th of July!
This year, we celebrate the 241st birthday of our nation along with our origins of freedoms, rights, and liberties.
Throughout the 78th Assembly District, we have a number of community events for neighbors to gather during the day and watch fireworks at night. Here is a partial list of some of these events:
City of San Diego:
Mission Hills 4th of July Celebration
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Location: Pioneer Park
Hosted by the Mission Hills Town Council, this annual event kicks-off with a parade at 10:30 a.m. and then proceeds with games, food, and live music during the afternoon at Pioneer Park. For more information, click here.
Old Town 4th of July Celebration
Time: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Old Town Historic State Park
Stop by the historic Old Town San Diego for a re-creation of an old-fashioned Independence Day complete with a parade and crafts/activities. For more information, click here.
Big Bay Boom July 4th Fireworks Show
Time: 9 p.m.
Location: San Diego Bay
The largest fireworks display in San Diego County with a musical score broadcast on THE MIGHTY 1090 AM and MAX FM 105.7. This fireworks display can be viewed from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, Marina District, and Seaport Village/Coronado Ferry Landing.
Ocean Beach 4th of July Celebration
Time: 9 p.m.
Location: Ocean Beach Pier near Newport Avenue
Spectacular fireworks display off of the OB Pier. Use your radio to hear the musical score broadcast in simulcast on KyXy 96.5. For more information, click here.
4th of July Fireworks at La Jolla Cove
Time: 9 p.m.
Location: Ellen Browning Scripps Park | 1100 Coast Boulevard, La Jolla, CA 92037

SeaWorld 4th of July Fireworks
Time: 9:40 p.m.
Location: SeaWorld San Diego | 500 Sea World Drive, San Diego, CA 92109
**Can be watched from Mission Bay and Point Loma.
City of Coronado:
Independence Day Parade - "A Salute to America"
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Orange Avenue from First Street to Churchill Place

4th of July Concert in the Park
Time: 4 p.m.
Location: Spreckels Park (Sixth Avenue and Orange Avenue)

City of Del Mar:
San Diego County Fair 4th of July Celebration
Time: 9:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Location: Del Mar Fairgrounds | 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar, CA 92014
Last day for the Fair! Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
City of Imperial Beach:
Independence Day Fireworks in Imperial Beach
Time: 9 p.m.
Location: Imperial Beach Pier | 10 Evergreen Avenue, Imperial Beach, CA 91932
Hosted by the City of Imperial Beach and choreographed to the musical score broadcast on KyXy 96.5. For more information, click here.
