Rabbi Evan Moffic of Congregation Solel in Highland Park, Illinois, United States for Friday, 21 July 2017 "Shalom vs. Success"
Do you know the famous line from Shakespeare: "To thine own self be true?" Well, we have to know ourselves to be true to ourselves.
Faith and life experiences help teach us about ourselves. One of those experiences for me was using the tool of the enneagram.
It helped me uncover a struggle many of us face—the tension between shalom and success, between enjoying what we have and always wanting more.
It is a spiritual tool used by Christians, Jews and people of various other faiths or no faith. It reveals parts of our character and motivation other tools do not. You can take it for free.
But to get a better idea of it—and to learn a little bit more about the tensions we face—you can listen to this interview with the world's foremost expert on the enneagram, Ian Cron.
Ian is an episcopal minister, therapist and author. He interviewed me a few weeks ago. We hit it off. And I talk about personal experiences I've never spoken about until now. Here is the podcast.
Of course, we talk about the soon to be released: The Happiness Prayer—Ancient Jewish Wisdom for the Best Way to Live Today.
And you can get along with three premier bonuses by following the instructions and purchasing it at www.rabbimoffic.com/happy.
