Peace and Good in Christ!
We are excited to announce our Fourth Annual St. Clare's Fundraiser! We love the partners in our life and ministry at St. Clare's! So this is for you!
After great success with our partners in previous years, we are hopeful for even greater success this year. And in today's western world we need the gift of St. Clare's Monastery more than ever before!
The Brothers and Sisters of Charity at St. Clare's Monastery offer a spiritual oasis in today's western culture. Many say that our culture is unraveling in both faith and morality. We desperately need authentic Christian spirituality!
St Clare's Monastery is a special place where individuals and groups can get away from the busyness and noise of their lives and take time for prayer and reflection. We provide not only the place, but meals and spiritual teaching as needed for each group.
But we do much more than this! The members of the monastery lead sung Morning Prayer (The Liturgy of the Hours) before daily Mass at the local parish, the Prince of Peace Catholic Community, and work at the parish's Mercy Center Food Pantry and teach children's catechism classes. The residents also do most of the work to maintain the house and 2-acre grounds so that it is a beautiful and peaceful place for those seeking spiritual refreshment and renewal. There's much evangelization work to do!

The Fourth Annual St. Clare Monastery Fundraiser is an opportunity for our friends and benefactors to enjoy some time together celebrating Mass, participating in live and silent auctions, and savoring a catered lunch. Each of the 25 tables will be differently and beautifully decorated by attendees.
Details of the event are as follows:
Date: Saturday, September 9, 2017
Time: 9am - 1pm
Location: Lanier property gym down the street from the Lanier Theological Library located at 13702 Falba, Houston, TX 77070
Purpose: To raise funds for the operation and maintenance of St. Clare Monastery
Attendance: Approximately 200 adult men and women
Our Request: Donate an item for the live or silent auction, or a monetary sponsorship
Donor Recognition: All businesses supporting the event will be recognized in our program, and either featured on the auction sheets for the silent auction or announced at the live auction.
