WEBINAR OPPORTUNITY: SOCIAL MEDIA & THE CHURCH
The NTS Center for Pastoral Leadership invites you to join us for a free webinar on Social Media on Thursday May 21, 2015 at 7:00pm (Central Time).
Social Media is growing. According to the Pew Research Center, more than half of online adults are on multiple social media sites. They're not on these sites just to read announcements or receive information, they're there to interact - to engage with people and ideas. Few churches have successfully transitioned from broadcast media (like newspapers or television) to social media (like Facebook and Twitter). This workshop will give an overview of four of the top social media sites and how to most effectively engage with the people your church is trying to reach with each one.UPCOMING EVENTS

CPL WEBINAR ON “FACEBOOK FOR CHURCHES”
Rev. Keith Davenport
WEBINAR DESCRIPTION: Everyone is on Facebook — teenagers and seniors, urbanites and rural homemakers, white collars and blue collars. In fact 71% of all online adults have a Facebook profile. Likely the majority of your congregation and your community are on Facebook and use it regularly. How are you using Facebook in a way that engages both your church people and your community in meaningful ways? This workshop will help provide some best practices and effective strategies for churches to connect with Christians and Non-Christians alike via Facebook.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Keith Davenport (NTS Class of 2012) is an engagement consultant with seven years of social media marketing experience. As an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene with twelve years of local church ministry experience, he understands the ins and outs of social media.
