This Sunday, Pastor Estep will be preaching over 2 Corinthians 5: 11-17. After the offertory, children in grades 1-4 will be invited to exit the sanctuary with Margie Schwarz to study the same passage.

News & Events
District Shoe Drive
This summer, the Kansas City District Church of the Nazarene will be collecting used shoes at all of their district events. Shoes will be sent to developing countries, where they will be refurbished and given to those in need. We will have collection bins in the sanctuary foyer for shoe donations. Please bring all shoes by July 26, so that they may be taken to District Assembly.
Toothpaste Collection
The Young Adult group is collecting brand new tubes of toothpaste to be sent with Heart-to-Heart International care-kits to Nepal.There will be a bin in the sanctuary lobby this Sunday.
Family Picnic
This Sunday, June 14, kids 12-years-old and younger are invited to bring their families to Leawood Park after the morning service for a summer picnic! Bring a sack lunch and any outdoor activities you enjoy. The group will meet at the main shelter.
Summer of Discovery
Kids in grades K-6 are invited to a Summer of Discovery, beginning this Wednesday, May 27! Every Wednesday night from 6:30pm-7:30pm, our kids will explore and discover different gifts and talents, as led by some of our very gifted church members. Topics include: arts, sciences, games, languages, woodworking, and music! Contact Margie Schwarz for more information!
Open Gym
This summer, the gym will be open on Tuesdays from 1pm-3pm for free play for all children 12-years-old and younger. No adult supervision will be provided by the church, so parents and guardians will need to remain present, or make other arrangements.
Oil Painting Session
All are invited to a special oil painting session this Tuesday, June 16th
, at 6pm in the Southside Room. No previous experience required. Cost $15.
Gardening Opportunity
All ladies are invited to work in the Harvester's garden located at 18th & Broadway on Wednesday, June 17, from 9am-12pm. Please sign up in the lobby next Sunday or contact the church office to RSVP. The group will plan to go to lunch together after work.
Plaza Painting
A group will be meeting at the JC Nichols Fountain next Saturday, June 20, at 8am to paint on the plaza. Cost is $25, and includes supplies and brunch at the Nelson Atkins museum. Sign up at the table in the foyer today.
