Reconciliation Ministry Network of Chicago, Illnois: Job openings, Annual Conferences, and a message from Rev. Frank Schaefer for Wednesday, 10 June 2015
Our prayers are with our Reconciling family during this Annual Conference season

Annual Conference Season is underway!

Thank you to all of the Reconciling teams and individuals who are bringing your passion for LGBTQ justice to Annual Conferences across the country. We are so grateful for your witness and your presence makes a powerful difference.
Whether you are voting on General Conference delegates, working to push forward inclusive resolutions, or preventing additional discriminatory resolutions from passing, know that our prayers are with you.
Please consider sending us reflections on your experiences at Annual Conference to be shared on our blog. We know there are so many powerful stories of growth, healing, grief, solidarity and hope and we'd love to share them with the wider Network.
Send us a story about your Annual Conference
Support Gather at the River

You can personally support RMN and MFSA’s upcoming event, Gather at the River by purchasing an ad in the program book or becoming a sponsor! This is a great way to get the word out about your organization or business to a group of progressive United Methodists and support a great cause at the same time. Ads or sponsorships can be purchased to promote:
 Your personal business
 The organization you where you work
 Your Reconciling Congregation or Sunday School Class
 Celebration of the movement (e.g. John Smith congratulates RMN and MFSA on an amazing year of social justice leadership and celebrates the community at Gather at the River or Jane Doe celebrates the commitment of Walnut Grove FUMC as a Reconciling Congregation!)
Follow this link for information on purchasing an ad or being a sponsor today.
We are very grateful for your support and please don't forget to register for this fantastic event!

Job openings at RMN

As part of our "Y'all Means All: A Southern Initiative" campaign, we are thrilled to announce two additional part-time field associate positions to work alongside our regional organizers in the Southern Jurisdictions. These future team members will allow us to expand our presence and support throughout the South. Please help us spread the word so we can find the best candidates to help grow the movement for a more just and inclusive United Methodist Church and world.

UMC Clergy in McKinney call for equal and just treatment of all
On Sunday, June 7th, a video surfaced of a white police officer using excessive forceon a group of primarily African American teenagers at a pool party in McKinney, TX. In response, clergy and lay members of the North Texas Conference gathered together last night at the police department where they made a call for a full investigation and equal treatment in the community. Their act of Biblical Obedience invites all United Methodist clergy and lay members to reflect on God's call on our lives to do our part in putting an end to injustice and oppression wherever it manifests.
