Greetings from your alma mater!
On behalf of the Offices of Enrollment Management and Institutional Advancement, we are excited to announce the new Admissions Alumni Volunteer Program (AAVP). The purpose of the AAVP is to engage Elmira College alumni in the recruitment and enrollment of students. Alumni will participate in a variety of activities, including attending college fairs, phone calling, appearing at off-campus and on-campus admissions events, sending emails or other personalized communication, and referring students to Elmira College.
The implementation of our new AAVP will occur in three phases, as outlined below:
Phase 1 – alumni interested in being an AAVP member should send an email to Nolan Oxley ’13, Admissions Counselor, at noxley@elmira.edu by December 1, 2015.
Phase 2 – on or around February 1, 2016, AAVP members will be asked to begin contacting students who have been offered admission and/or attend various Admitted Students Receptions.
Phase 3 – at Reunion 2016, AAVP members will participate in an Admissions Volunteer Training program which will include interviewing tips, college fair coverage, hosting off-campus events, and much more.
Thank you in advance for your willingness to assist your alma mater in recruiting and enrolling new students. Alumni are among our most valuable assets and we look forward to working with you to enroll and graduate the next generation of Elmira College alumni.
