Psalm 4:(0) For the leader. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David:
Having never been subject to an audit, my wife and I found it both surprising and terrifying when we received a notice to meet with an agent of the IRS and “review” a recent tax return. Our accountant told us to send him our reports and promised that he would take care of the matter. But we kept getting notices from the IRS, and the amounts they said we owed seemed to grow exponentially with every call. I could already picture my solitary confinement in prison! But again, our accountant said, “Don’t worry about it. I will take care of it. The agent isn’t even supposed to contact you.”
That night we experienced the comfort Psalm 4:8: “In peace I will lie down and sleep.” It was unexplainable–our circumstances had not changed. Before going to bed, however, we had surrendered the matter to the God of all peace. It was in His hands, and He gave us rest.
Oh, and when the audit was finished? The IRS owed us money. The Lord had caused us to “dwell in safety” (v. 8).
Hymn for Today: "I Surrender All" by Judson W. Van DeVenter
2 (1) O God, my vindicator!
Answer me when I call!
When I was distressed, you set me free;
now have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
3 (2) Men of rank, how long will you shame my honor,
love what is vain, chase after lies? (Selah)
4 (3) Understand that Adonai sets apart
the godly person for himself;
Adonai will hear when I call to him.
5 (4) You can be angry, but do not sin!
Think about this as you lie in bed,
and calm down. (Selah)
6 (5) Offer sacrifices rightly,
and put your trust in Adonai.
7 (6) Many ask, “Who can show us some good?”
Adonai, lift the light of your face over us!
8 (7) You have filled my heart with more joy
than all their grain and new wine.

1. All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
2. All to Jesus I surrender,
Make my, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.
Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
3. All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.
Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
Thought for Today:
"Trust in Adonai, and do good;
settle in the land, and feed on faithfulness." Psalm 37:3
Please pray:That many people in Honduras will come to know Yeshua the Messiah and receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
