Marvin Root
As we come to the end of the year 2015, we have sad news to share with you. Beth Immanuel Elder and founding member Marvin Root passed into the world of truth on Wednesday, December 23. We conducted a graveside memorial service Thursday, December 24. You can hear a tribute and a teaching in Marvin’s honor with reference to our current studies in the book of Revelation here: On the Passing of Marvin Root. This Sunday, January 3, we will conduct a memorial service for Marvin at 1:00 PM. Everyone who knew Marvin is welcome to attend.
End of 2015
Thank you very much to everyone who has financially supported the ministry of Beth immanuel in 2015. May your gifts and offerings be remembered before our Father in Heaven. Thank you for subscribing to this newsletter and keeping up with events at Beth Immanuel. Thank you to everyone who remembered Beth Immanuel in your end-of-year giving this year. We appreciate your support for this work. In the coming year, we hope to continue advancing the three campaigns: Come Home to Hudson, Oneg Shabbat, and Messianic Jewish Bible School.
Beth Immanuel Parsonage Project
Beth Immanuel is purchasing a parsonage property adjacent to our synagogue to house Pastor Mitchell’s family and to function as a Shabbat House for the community. Please help us with the added financial burden of closing costs and property expenses with a generous year-end donation to Beth Immanuel.
New Hebrew Class
Aaron Eby’s new Hebrew Class begins February 7. This is a natural, fun, and non-technical approach to learning. In this course you will learn how to read ancient Hebrew and understand simple stories instantly without translating them into English. The class assumes no prior knowledge, and it is suitable for serious young learners as well as adults. People with some Hebrew knowledge will also benefit from the class. You can learn about the new class online.
