This is it! We are nearly there! To continue our mission with momentum we need to raise at least $50,000 by the end of 2015. To date, we have raised $37,847. Thank you to those who have contributed!
But we need you now more than ever and this isn't a fear tactic... our small organization does BIG things! The world cries out for justice and compassion. Just think of the millions of people who consider themselves Christian and what the world would look like if more and more of them turned from exclusion and fear, toward the empathy and service of Jesus' teachings.
Progressive Christianity is a path of inclusion, respect, service, and mindfulness. We need to help more people become aware of this type of Christianity and to hold those who call themselves Christian accountable for their behavior. Together, we can take a stand and demand fairness and kindness for all people.
Support our ongoing efforts to bring to the world a more compassionate and informed Christianity, by donating today.

Also this exciting opportunity! Donate any amount between now and the end of the year and automatically be entered into the drawing for 3 great gifts! More info here...

A Personal Note from Eric Alexander, Board Member
Years ago when I officially decided be public about my progressive beliefs I found it to be very challenging. I had to step away from pastoral and leadership roles, and some of my best friends deemed me an enemy of the faith because I would no longer agree to tote the company line in order not to rock the boat. During that time, Progressive Christianity was one of the few outlets that not only embraced my path, but also enriched it.
Because of that I have since become a board member for ProgressiveChristianity.org in order to give back. The term Progressive Christianity has become a household name these days, but many folks aren't aware that 20 years ago the phrase was popularized byProgressiveChristianity.org and promoted by them and their advisers such as Marcus Borg, Karen Armstrong, and Bishop Spong. They have done great work. For instance, much of the gay affirming movement we see today was pushed by PC from the early days. The same goes for basic theological models that we take as a given today. There is still a lot of work to be done though, both on a theological and social level, andProgressiveChristianity.org remains at the core of the movement.
We do not rely on churches and advertisers for funding because that tends to stifle our ability to speak freely. We do get funding from those sources, but similar to Wikipedia, we find that private donations are the best way to remain unbound.
With that said, we are in the final phase of our December fundraiser. The great news is that we are at 80% of our goal and we have had an incredibly positive response. So I felt compelled to pass along that if the precepts of Progressive Christianity have been helpful to you over the years, and you feel moved to help with the mission, you might be interested to consider an end of year gift to help the mission. Thank you for considering.... Click here to donate.

Thank you from your friends at ProgressiveChristianity.org
