Trip to Haiti – November 16th – 20th – Open invitation to come with us!
Gateway Church of the Nazarene is going to Haiti to assist with the orphanage that we sponsor in Port Au Prince, Haiti. A team from Gateway is traveling to Haiti November 16th – 20th to help with repairs and various other projects. Fees per person are $1400. This includes airfare and food expense. Every person attending also must pay for their own passport and get their required shots. If you are interested in going on this trip, please attend the first Haiti trip planning meeting on September 24th at 5pm in the Gateway coffee house. At the meeting, we will discuss full details and travel itinerary. For more information, please see Pastor Kevin.
Early Morning Prayer Meeting - Wednesday, 9-27-17 at 5 AM, we want to invite you to pray with us. Pastor Kevin and anyone who wants to attend, is invited to come and pray in the sanctuary at 5 AM at Gateway Nazarene. We will gather together and pray from 5am - 6am. We will pray for our people, pray for those who do not know Jesus, pray for those who are leading in government, pray for those affected by the hurricanes and so much more. Please join us on Wednesday September 27th at 5 AM and let's pray boldly before God's throne! Anyone and everyone is invited to come and pray with us! We hope to see you on Wednesday September 27th at 5 AM in the sanctuary.
Keys to Outside Doors – VERY IMPORTANT from the office of stuff you should know. If you have a key to any of the entrance doors to the church and you haven’t been in contact with me in the last month, please call me (Gene to you) at 661-428-1269. The security systems are being changed and if you use your KEY after September 29 you WILL set off the alarm. All procedures, codes and passwords have been changed.
A Family Affair – Hey church family, there is still a family of 6 (2 adults, 2 youths and 2 kids) in Lake Elsinore (new members) who really want to attend our church on Sundays. They love our church and would like to attend Sunday School and 2nd Service. We had a couple of replies but it’s the 7 capacity that is the problem. So, keep praying for them and asking around. Call the church office if you have questions, suggestions or even solutions.
Next Photo Session - The Hawk News Network reported today that the third photo session for the Pictorial Directory at the Gateway Church was an well received. A high-level source in the COO’s office of letting you know stuff, revealed today that the gathering of information is 73.15% complete. That means that approximately 60 family units have not yet responded to either the photo or the information sheet. Stay tuned for more sarcastic encouragement next week. But please, at least fill out the information sheet because it is more important, at this point, than the picture in getting things set up. Information sheets can be picked up and returned to the front desk. Next photo session expected to be in 2 weeks.
Event Planning – It happened again…someone scheduled an event and there was no room in the inn. Please, please if you want to do something at the church check with the office first. Remember, the last will be first and the first won’t have any place to go.
Faith-In-Motion – Hey, if you are part of the hugely successful Faith in Motion team or just a “wanabe”, there is a team meeting in the Conference Room on October 7th at 9 AM. So, read about it in the Bulletin this Sunday and then just Go-and-Do- It.
One More Thing – If you are looking for a place to hang out and eat this TUESDAY 9/26 at 9 AM, Daniel and Chere’ Mangabat are having a “help me move party” in Murrieta. All you need to do is help load the U-Haul...load only. That sounds more than fair. You get an easy workout for the day, food and great fellowship all for the price of nothing. Call 951-956-3991 to bless them with your time.
