"'Meet the Candidate' forum" for Friday, 3 August 2018 from Saint James United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, United States
Saint James United Methodist Church
FROM THE DESK OF THE PASTOR
The tremendous response from candidates and the community has resulted in the postponement of our forums planned for this Sunday, August 5 following our 9a, 10:30a, and 11:30a worship celebrations at our Paseo and Renaissance campuses. It is clear there is a thirst and need for candidates and the community to hear from one another, and we want to be sure we have created an environment that is appropriate for such a large audience. Therefore, we will convene the “Meet the Candidates” forums in preparation for the November General Election.
At a date to be announced soon, we will provide candidates the opportunity to share their ideas in a moderated Q and A format. The event will be designed to provide candidates the opportunity to hear directly from constituents about their concerns and priorities, and what they would like from their elected officials.
As we draw near to Election Day on August 7, let us remember to exercise our right to vote.

Upcoming X-citing Worship, Faith Development, Congregational Care, Compassionate Outreach, Next Generation Ministries and Community News
X-CITING WORSHIP
One of the ways we as believers express our beliefs is in the power of the ballot. This Sunday candidates from all parties have been invited to join us for worship at either campus followed by a Q & A session. Participating candidates will be introduced, and the congregation will be given the opportunity to raise questions or concerns. This is the perfect opportunity for us to hear from them once more prior to Tuesday's essential election day. Please plan to stay to take advantage of this moment with the candidates.
Finally, as we draw near to Election Day on August 7, 2018, let us be intentional in preparing to exercise our right to vote.

Access to Kidz Kingdom (Paseo Campus)
Access is limited to volunteers and parents dropping off children on Sundays between the hours of 8:30a - 1:00p and Wednesdays between 6:30p - 8:00p.

Please join us at the UMW Gathering at Renaissance campus Saturday, August 11, 2018 - 10:30a- 12:30p. We look forward to your participation.
