Welcoming Graduating Seniors to the Alumni Family
The Office of Alumni Relations started a new tradition at last month’s inaugural Senior Dinner. The highly anticipated event was a full house. Around 450 students, faculty and their guests packed the GCU Arena bowl. Students dressed to the nines took full advantage of the photo booth, capturing their last few weeks as GCU college students. The event is the first of its kind at GCU and we hope to make it a yearly tradition to celebrate the seniors’ achievements and welcome them into our alumni family. Remember how you felt as a new graduate about to start your chosen career? The excitement, the nerves, the sheer terror about starting your job? In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week and National Nurses Week, our alumni are sharing some words of wisdom they would have given themselves as new graduates. Nurses: Thank you for providing ethical practice and quality care every day, but especially during National Nurses Week. Teachers: During Teacher Appreciation Week, we thank you for your dedication, and the extra hours and heart you pour into our nation’s future.

Harmony is the Key to First Worship Arts EP
The College of Theology's Center for Worship Arts program released its first EP. The story behind “Follow You,” an original track on “Canyon Worship,” is one of great collaboration and divine intervention. How songwriters, Desiree Aguilar and Jessi Sams, arrived at GCU is also amazing. The way they landed in the Worship Arts program and became friends is almost beyond comprehension. Colangelo Scholarships to Transform Students’ Lives
Colangelo Scholarships, a new initiative in the Colangelo College of Business, were awarded to three well-deserving recipients from Alhambra, Maryvale and Valley Christian High Schools. The emotions of the high school seniors were off the charts when Dr. Randy Gibb, Dean of the Colangelo College of Business, a contingent wearing purple and even Thunder arrived to share the news. Meet the students who have been chosen to receive these full-ride scholarships to attend GCU’s Colangelo College of Business.
