Rez Blue Springs Headed to the Holy Land in Fall of 2016!

Greetings Resurrection Blue Springs,
Over the last few days I have been in Wichita at the Great Plains Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Its been a great time connecting with new and old friends as we conduct the business of our conference.
This Sunday we will be continuing the Take Me Out to the Ballgame series. I am heading out for a few days of vacation so Austin Holt will be delivering our message entitled – "The “I” in Teamwork." He will be focusing on what baseball has to teach us on the idea of teamwork and how that relates to our kingdom work here on earth. He's very excited to deliver this message and having heard his key points, I'm looking forward to hearing it too when the podcast is posted this week on our website. Please keep Christie Walker in your prayers as this weekend they will be welcoming her at Rez West as their new Director of Children’s Ministries. I know she'll be a blessing to their children's ministry.
Father's day Pastor Adam will be concluding our baseball sermon series. We thought it might be fun to post a collection of photos of our congregants from their little league days or any photos of father's and sons enjoying baseball. We'll post them and try to guess who's who. So if you have a photo you can share, bring it to worship this weekend or next or post it to our Facebook page.
We had over 20 sign up for the Co-ed Sand Volleyball league only to find out the city did not have enough participants to hold the league. So instead of joining this league, we're going to gather every Tuesday night through August 13, divide into teams and host our own play. The group had a great time on Tuesday and we want to extend the invite for anyone who'd like to play to come on out. If you have questions, email Bill Ellwood.

This will be the trip of a lifetime and I hope you can join me as we walk where Jesus walked. We will retrace His life, teaching's, death, and resurrection on a journey of both historical learning and spiritual power! We will be taking this journey along with Pastor Jason Grant, and members from our West campus. Brochures will be coming out soon. For now, please let Heather Sooley, our Coordinating Assistant for Operations, know if you have interest in going. Her email is Heather.Sooley@cor.org.
I look forward to seeing those little league pictures. I know I have a cute one from my husband's days as a little league player. You'll have to see if you can find him next week.
