Good Day Men,
What a wonderful time of year! Fall colors, football, fall golf and of course, the Royals return to, and WIN, the World Series. Amazing.
May I ask you a personal question? Do you thank God often for the indescribable gift of life? Your life and those of your loved ones? It strikes me how easy it is to wake up, have a coffee and jump in to the day's activities and fail to pause and acknowledge that "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." Developing an attitude of gratitude makes all of life better, both for ourselves and for those we love.
I received a call early the other morning from a good friend from the church who told me with loud sobs and cries of thanksgiving that his college freshman daughter had been involved in a head on collision driving back to her campus and walked away with only minor scrapes.The highway patrol said they could not imagine how she could have survived. Big miracles illicit big cries of thanksgiving.Then again, our very next breath is a gift of a gracious God. Let's amp our spirit of praise and thanksgiving. It is the only realistic and appropriate way to live!
