The Kansas City Royals are World Series Winners!!!
What an amazing game last night. I am so proud and excited to be a part of this city. Tomorrowpromises to be a time of incredible celebration, 30 years in the making! I wanted to make sure you had all of the information regarding the parade which will start at noon.
Below, you will find a map of the parade route. They will close all roads along the parade route by 9am. The earlier you are able to arrive the better chance you will have to park closer to the festivities. The church parking will not be available to park as it is already rented out during the week for neighboring businesses.
We will be gathered on our front sidewalk at 1508 Grand and The Roasterie has been kind enough to come and hand out coffee! They will want your help!!!
It is our hope you will come and enjoy the celebration at noon but also to help us show radical hospitality to the thousands of people who will pass by or gather near our front doors. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build Christian community on a historic day in the city. On a personal note, as all of this is happening, I can only imagine what it will feel like next year when this parade route passes by our future location, taking up the entire city block between 16th and 17th on Grand! How cool will that be!?! Come on out to the church (1508 Grand) tomorrowmorning, take photos, post them all over social media and build Christian community in the center of this city in Royal celebration!
I am so excited to spend this weekend with you in service and in worship. I hope you'll invite friends and join us for what is shaping up to be a great weekend of dreaming in the city!
