Gateway Church Family, Date: Tuesday, 30 January 2018
Hello everyone! I hope you are having a good week! This past Sunday, we discussed what all God did in 2017 and we also shared the vision that God has given us for 2018. Below are the strategic priorities for 2018. These will be our intentional efforts as we seek to depopulate hell this year.
Please join me in praying for this vision! Please begin to think about ways to get involved in this vision. If God lays something on your heart as you read through this, please be sure to let me know.

Under Care:
Strategic Priorities:
· To continue to develop prayer ministries throughout the life of the church including, but not limited to, our 10:02 prayer time, emphasize our Monday night prayer group and email prayer chain, and our pre-service Sunday morning prayer meetings.
· To host quarterly 5am prayer meetings for our people at the church.
· To begin a church wide security program. To continue to host quarterly potlucks with all our people and host periodically combined worship services.
· To push our people to get more active in God’s Word!
· To teach our people how to fast!
· To host a congregational monthly coffee meeting with the pastor to visit and share.
Under Outreach:
Strategic Priorities:
· To host two major outreach events outside of the church walls and to host two major outreach events inside the church walls. These events will include compassion and evangelism.
· To take a second out-of-country mission trip to Haiti with a team from Gateway.
· To take an out-of-country mission trip to Israel led by David Jesse.
· To win 200 new believers to Jesus
· To baptize 100 new believers.
· To host a weekend marriage seminar.
· To offer three evangelism classes teaching people how to share their faith.
Under New Works:
Strategic Priorities:
· To plant one new church and/or partner with a church plant.
· To begin a new Filipino service.
· To continue to help and nurture our new works that began in 2017 that include our Hispanic ministry, our Saturday night service, our senior assisted living facility effort and our work at 29Palms.
· NEW Inside the Church Project – Install a new baptismal. To begin the process of building our new children’s wing. To replace the two outdoor signs. We have a new church sign at the driveway entrance. To purchase a church van. To complete our new outdoor welcome center. To replace the tile floor outside the sanctuary and other areas as needed.
Under Discipleship:
Strategic Priorities:
· To begin 10 new in-home groups.
· To host three leadership development classes for existing and new leaders.
· To increase our commitment to First Impressions and welcoming visitors into the life of the Church
· To bring in 100 new members into church membership.
· To increase church attendance to 850+ (combined service attendance.)
· To offer more specific one-time courses including family finance, personal holiness, etc.
Under Ministries:
Strategic Priorities:
· To continue all church ministries and help them to develop.
. To persist to nurture our new ministries that we began in 2017 including our Compassionate ministries, our Celebrate Recovery Ministry, our Men’s Ministry, our Homeless Ministry and Sports Ministry.
· To double the number of people in our children’s ministry and to offer parenting classes to equip our parents to raise their children Biblically.
· To double the number of people in our youth ministries. To allow our youth to play an active role into the larger body of the church.
· To equip families through nurture and care and to meet the needs of families through trainings, outings, events, etc.
To partner with the City of Murrieta in the form of a service project.
· To devise a strategic plan to help with our lack of rooms and space available for Sunday school.
Under Administration:
Strategic Priorities:
· To continue to strengthen email news, bulletins, church website, church mailers, social media and other avenues of communication.
· To develop a yearly calendar to assist in being more organized.
· To reduce the church debt by $150,000
· To continue to support Church of the Nazarene missions through awareness and finances (this includes paying 100%+ in church budgets).
· For general operating church revenue to exceed general operating expenditures.
· To fully raise all funds needed for our Capital Campaign.
· To market the church using avenues like social media and other forms of advertising.
Under Worship & Media:
Strategic Priorities:
· To double the number of people participating in our praise and worship team.
· To officially begin our Online Church Services and reach an entire new population of people.
· To continue to build, train and equip our teams of greeters, ushers, communion preparation, and bulletin prep.
