Kathleen K. Karlowski, 92, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Kathleen was a homemaker, avid painter, and actively involved with the United Methodist Church for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Rex Mann Moody and Rev. Wayne E. Karlowski; step-sons, Robert, Jack, and Michael Moody; brother, Tom B. Keyes; sister, Ruth Jean Fleer; and two granddaughters.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Martha Knudsen; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many wonderful friends.

Kathleen K. Karlowski, 92, the widow of a clergy member passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Kathleen was a homemaker, avid painter,and actively involved with the United Methodist Church for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Rex Mann Moody and Rev. Wayne E. Karlowski; step-sons, Robert, Jack, and Michael Moody; brother, Tom B. Keyes; sister, Ruth Jean Fleer; and two granddaughters.

Maria "Riet" Stonger, 77, a clergy member, was born Maria Johanna Knetsch on April 5, 1938, in Leiden, The Netherlands. In 1955, when she was 17, her family immigrated to the USA, settling in Wichita, where Riet lived the remainder of her life. Riet died on April 13, 2015, in El Dorado, Kansas.
In 1961 she married Roelof Bos, who also came from The Netherlands. Roelof worked for Chance Manufacturing in Wichita for many years. Two children blessed their marriage: Marsha and Roger. Riet married Ray Stonger in 1987. Both Roelof and Ray preceded her in death.
As a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Wichita, Riet became increasingly involved in church work and ministries. She went on to complete the Course of Study at St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, earning her License as Local Pastor. She served as Pastor of the following United Methodist churches: Wichita Cedar Chapel, Haviland, and Douglass/Rock. Retiring in 2003, Riet remained active in the ministries of Central United Methodist Church in Wichita.
Riet was preceded in death by her parents, Reinier and Maria Knetsch of Wichita. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Bos, and grandchildren, Breonna and Colt; son, Roger Bos, his spouse Gaitrie, and grandchildren, Ilona and R.J.; brother, Piet Knetsch and spouse, Dottie (Shivaun, Alexis, Tori); brother, Rene Knetsch and spouse, Lynne Glaeske.
Funeral service was Saturday, Hillside Funeral Home, 935 N. Hillside, Wichita. Graveside service followed immediately at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita.
