Look what happens when the Lord draws near! When the faith community comes together to celebrate Holy Communion, it is invited to center on the real presence of Christ. Among the communion of saints, receiving the body and blood with our friends is a reason to rejoice. The Lord is near! The goodness of God blesses us with forgiveness, saves us from affliction and equips us for service. Thank God for what has happened to you this week when the Lord has come near. Proclaim God's wondrous deeds and tell of God's greatness in your life.
God of glory and grace, thank you for keeping your promises to me. Forgive me when I wander from your presence. Draw me near always that my life may give you glory in our world. Amen.
