I hope you had a great Christmas and a wonderful time ushering in the New Year. Sadly, once again, I didn’t make it to midnight. Somehow, I’ll soldier on.
I wanted to remind you of a significant change coming this weekend and what it means for us as a community.
WE HAVE NEW SERVICE TIMES: As of January 7, we are adding a second service in the North Auditorium. Our service times will now be 9AM and 11AMin the North Auditorium and 10AM in the Sanctuary. I really believe this new schedule is going to open up all kinds of options for all kinds of people to find and follow Jesus at TPC.
INVITE A FRIEND: What I’m asking is that everyone who calls TPC their church home prayerfully consider who they might invite this weekend. I believe the key to a great church growing is when it’s people invite their friends and January is a time when people are ready for a new start. I am convinced that this added service is going to help give us great momentum as we move toward Easter and help people start and restart their life with Jesus.
SERVE ON A TEAM: A new year is also a great time to join a team and serve in 2018. If you’d like to be a part of our church by leading in a ministry, just click this link and tell us where you’d like to serve and we’ll help you get your feet wet in a ministry you want to test out and at a time and frequency that works for you.
BRING YOUR KIDS or YOUR FRIEND'S KIDS or PRETEND YOU'RE A KID:During the next 5 weeks, our kids in K-5 are competing in a challenge. They have incentives that include scripture memorization, parent involvement, and bringing friends. They will be earning tokens during this time to redeem on February 11 in the Torrey Kids Toy Store and there are some very exciting prizes. Your kids are gonna love it!
So all of that to say that this Sunday I’ll be sharing a message on some great ways to start the new year right and I can’t wait to celebrate with you. Let’s make it a great Sunday morning. We’re going to have a wonderful year.
Robert
