GATEWAY E-News - 113
Gateway Church Family, Date: Tuesday, 16 January 2018
Don't we have the greatest news on all of history? Think about this, God loves us! He loves us so much that He sent His Son to give us new life, to save us and to forgive us. This is amazing! In the midst of this however, I have a question for you. Who are you sharing this with? Are you keeping it to yourself? The world needs Good News! Are you willing to share it with them?
I want to introduce you to some people that Gateway shared the Good News with and now they are all in for Jesus!
  1. Veronica - Veronica is a single mom of two baby boys. This past year, we shared Jesus with Veronica and now she is in a saving relationship with Christ.
  2. Gary's is LorAnne Baldwin's husband. LorAnne attends our MOPS program. This past year, Gary accepted Christ and is all in for Him now.
  3. Andrew & Susie - Andrew and Susie began attending Gateway in 2017. This past year, they each entered into a saving relationship with Christ.
  4. Nathan - Earlier this year, Nathan fell off a three story building and almost died. This year, he was baptized at Gateway and has recommitted His life to Christ.
  5. Rylie - Rylie moved here from Kansas. Earlier this year, she was baptized at Gateway and now she is sold out for Jesus!
I could literally go on and on with stories like this! This past year so many accepted Christ and so many were baptized.
While this is exciting, there is still so much more work to do! So many people do not know this Good News about Jesus! We have work to do in 2018.
Here are some ways that you can help share the Gospel in 2018....
  1. Talk about it - Go out and tell people about Jesus. Share Him with your friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. Currently I am personally working on sharing Jesus with many people. I develop new relationships and friendships in part to tell people about this Good News we have! Will you join me and do the same?
  2. Help us financially - In 2017, we began many new ministries. While many came to Christ and many new ministries were started, it was also a year of struggle in some parts financially. We need help in 2018 to keep the mission at the forefront. Would you consider stepping up to help us more in giving in 2018? I know I ask a lot! But this Good News has to keep spreading! We are committed to doing that! Please help us keep fulfilling the Great Commission by continuing to be generous.
  3. Share your stories - When you do have stories of sharing your faith, share these stories with others. Your stories will encourage and motivate others to go out and do the same.
Let's make 2018 the greatest year in our churches history. Let's win many and continue to depopulate hell!
Have a great week!
Pastor Kevin
  1. The Event You Have All Been Waiting For - On Sunday afternoon 1/21, at 4:30, we will hold the second annual Gateway All Church Financial Update. This will be held prior to the Senior Adult "Birthday Celebration" scheduled for 5:30 PM, so many of you will be there anyway. Randy Lovett, our illustrious Treasurer, and money changer, has 10 amazing and delightful PowerPoint slides to inform you, our congregation, about the church's financial status and condition. We will review the first nine months of the fiscal year. The update will take less than an hour and then we will have a Q&A about income, expenses and anything else you want to ask about. It’s your money so try to act interested. It’s funny that we will be in the FBI classroom. There has been talk about a special prosecutor but that was just fake news. You can’t expect Randy to account for every dollar…right. Spinozzi
