Resurrection West,
We are in the midst of Holy Week and continue moving toward Christ’s sacrifice and ultimately His victory over sin and death - Easter!
Join us this evening for the Maundy Thursday worship service at 7pm (nursery available, 4 years and younger). We will share in Holy Communion, hear lessons from each of the witnesses to the crucifixion, be moved by music, and finally depart in silence. This will be a powerful service and I hope to see you there!
Then on Good Friday spend time in prayer and meditation from 7am – 7pm in the Sanctuary or walking the prayer trail. Prayer guides will be provided. Take time kneeling at the altar, lighting a candle, or walking the path as we consider Christ’s sacrifice and suffering on the cross.
Saturday afternoon we begin the celebration of Easter with an egg hunt at 3:00pm. We will gather in the Sanctuary for a short program and then the hunts begin all across our property. Children will be hunting eggs with letters inside to spell out J E S U S – I S – A L I V E. They will also have trinkets and candy in them as well! Game stations will be setup all around like the candly bar walk, photo booth, bingo, butterfly craft, petting live baby chicks, meeting the bunny, and more. Lots of fun and celebration rain or shine!
Then we begin Easter worship at Resurrection West!
Saturday at 5:30pm will be the first of five Easter worship services with Pastor Adam’s Easter message and celebration in song! (nursery available, 4 years and younger).
Sunday Easter services at 8am, 9:30am, 11:15am, and 5:00pm (nursery available, 4 years and younger). Children’s choir singing at the 8am and Holy Communion served at the 5pm. Each household will be invited to pick up a branchingout:making room for all devotional booklet as you depart our Easter services. This devotional booklet, written by twenty one different members here at Resurrection West, will serve as a 21-day daily devotional reading throughout the capital campaign beginning on Monday!
If you consider Resurrection West your church home, please worship at the Saturday 5:30pm, Sunday 8am, orSunday 5pm to make room for our guests and visitors! We will have the BIble Theatre as an additional Easter worship venue with live feed from the Sanctuary. Please let us know if you are willing to worship in that venue to make room for visitors, especially at the 9:30 and 11:15am services. There are still opportunities to volunteer in childcare, parking, ushering, greeting, and more at rezwest.org/easter
