Nearly 30 million people don’t have access to health care across the nation. Those without insurance have been left to struggle and in some cases die because extremist in statehouses and Governor’s mansions have refused to expand the Affordable Care Act in their states. This is immoral!
Please join us on Sunday, June 4 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in Raleigh, NC  at “The Gathering: A Time for Reflection, Revival, & Resistance” where we’ll discuss health care access in North Carolina and across the nation. You can join in-person at the Church on Morgan, 136 E. Morgan St. or online via livestream.
You can also sign up to host a watch party by clicking here.
“The Gathering” is a new movement resource sponsored by Repairers of the Breach held on the first Sunday of every month in North Carolina. It’s co-hosted by the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, Pres. & Sr. Lecturer of Repairers of the Breach; and Pastor Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove, and aims to equip communities with resources for faithful reflection and public action on moral issues.
This month we will discuss the impact of health care access in North Carolina and in states across the nation. Yara Allan, director of cultural arts at Repairers of the Breach, will lead those gathered in freedom songs to inform how we will engage with this issue. We’ll then hear from those who have been directly impacted. We’ll end with theological engagement and a call to moral action!
We hope to see you at The Gathering in North Carolina or online via the Repairers of the Breach livestream! You can also click here to spread the word through social media!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me (ewilliams@breachrepairers.org)!
Forward Together!
