Hello Resurrection Blue Springs,

I’m sure you’re all anticipating the long Memorial Weekend today.  Though summer has not officially arrived, this weekend has always seemed like the start of it for me.  School is out and the pools are opening up.  We’ll be celebrating the start of summer this weekend with a fun morning for the kids and a conclusion to our Birds and the Bees series.

KiDSCOR we will be celebrating the end of the school year with donuts and a movie during the morning KiDSCOR. We will be showing The Secret Life of Pets as a set up for our first MiniCamp, “The Secret Life of Jesus!” Nursery will be open as usual, and all kids ages 2 & up will be welcome to hang out for the movie. Children are invited to bring a stuffed "pet" to snuggle with too!

In worship, we be introducing our newest members from Pizza with the Pastor last week and my husband, Bill, will be joining me to offer our final message, “It Takes Three.”  We’ll be sharing some of what we’ve learned from 36 years of marriage about creating lasting relationships.  This is the second time we’ve preached a message together.  I’ll have to admit, I have a slight bit of fear and trepidation in turning Bill loose with a microphone on this one!  At the conclusion of worship, we’ll have a special children’s gift for every child and teen - Resurrection sunglasses!
We want to invite you to share your fun sunglass pics through June for our Instagram Photo Contest – Post your photos to your accounts, tag @churchoftherez, use #rezshinesbright. Here are the themes:
