Home for the Holidays The next Women’s Ministry event which is happening on Friday, Nov. 3 in the sanctuary at 7 PM, is shaping up to be a real blockbuster. Space is not limited so get yourself there early for some reason. They will have several ladies instruct the group on the different aspects of the holidays; things such as gift wrapping, floral centerpieces, holiday decorations, crafts and so much more. There will be snacks to enjoy as well and some yummy recipes to sample. It’s never too early to get your taste buds ready for the holidays!All Church Potluck – Sunday October 29th after second service.

If you are bringing your dish early, watch for the assigned and certified “warming stations” to avoid blowing a breaker. So, bring your fun self and your hearty appetite and remember prayer and meditation will follow the festivities.

This Sunday – The Pre-Service Prayer, Baby Dedication, Baptism, New Members, Presentation of Local Minister License, Pastor Appreciation Time, All Church Potluck and Operation Christmas Child Kickoff.
This, my brothers and sisters, is not for the faint-of -heart. Get a good night’s sleep.
Medicare Seminar – Saturday, October 28th at 10 AM. If you are starting Medicare this year or you have been on it for years now, there are recent changes you should know about, proposed changes to prepare for, and maybe a better way of doing what you think you are doing…I’m just guessing here.
FALL FEST – Gateway’s Fall Fest is fast approaching and we’re excited! Hope you’ve been telling your friends and neighbors about it, too! Just wanted to let you know that we have all the trunks that we need but could still use about 6 more people to volunteer for a game booth and 8 more people to do an hour shift for the bounce houses or dunk tank. Please email Pastor Chipo at cmakwakwa@gatewaynaz.org if you can help in any of these areas.
Mark your calendar today, right now in fact, for October 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM so you don’t have a terrifying, eerie, spooky, spine-chilling or creepy calendar conflict. I however, would like a hair-raising experience since I am “follicly challenged.”
FAITH_IN MOTION – Here’s the plan that y’all have been asking about:
Through Faith in Motion, Gateway is providing gift cards for the Christmas party for young adults; 18-21 year olds that are still in foster care.
We would like to provide 100 $25.00 gift cards.
You can make your check out to Gateway with Faith in Motion in the memo and we will purchase the cards.
Please have your checks in by Sunday, November 19th.
Your contributions are so very much appreciated by the recipients and the social workers coordinating the event.
