We would LOVE to shower our pastors with gifts, small tokens of kindness, & encouraging words. This Sunday we will have a table available in the foyer for dropping off cards and gifts for each pastor. This Sunday following church we are in urgent need of 6 or so individuals to help us move some of the larger/heavier items to Jane Hanlon’s new apartment. We are so thankful for the teens, sponsors and a handful of other church members who have been able to help over the past week! Jane is disabled and our church family is her only family to speak of. Jane will also be looking for a ride to church each week. Her new apartment is in the area of I-435 and Antioch; if anyone is able to bring her (occasionally OR on a regular basis) – that would be a huge blessing for our dear friend. The worship team is heading to Senegal, Africa in January and they need your help to get there! Starting at 5:00pm dinner will be offered while people can listen to live music and make bids on the various silent auction offerings. A little after 7:00pm the silent auction winners will be announced!
While the event has no ticket price, meal donations would be greatly appreciated. Starla Rowell will be fixing delicious BBQ and cheesy potatoes!Please bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share.
If you have any items you would like to donate for the silent auction, please contact Letisha Robinson at 913-515-5305. Suggested items include: gift baskets (day spa items, coffee theme, tea theme basket, etc.) Photography or painting artwork, guitar lessons, golf lessons, oil changes for a year, a year of flowers once a month, baked goods basket, a year membership at Nelson Atkins, leaf raking, gutter cleaning, time share vacation, dog walking services, a quilt, a car, motorcycle, or vehicle, etc. If you have an idea, just contact Letisha.
