Dear St. James Family:
We have accomplished so much this year because of your generosity. We provide a nursery and activities for children every Sunday, we served meals to over 1,500 households for Thanksgiving and Christmas, provide opportunities and ministries for children and youth and opened the doors of the church house seven days a week. This is a church that truly serves the community year after year. Right now we are $36,000 short of our $1,899,694 2017 budget. We need your help in fulfilling our goal. Below are a few things to think about for year-end giving.
All gifts being mailed must be postmarked by December 30 to be included in your 2017 giving.
You can give online at our website by clicking the red Giving Tab.
To maximize the value of your gift, give by check or from your bank account rather than credit card - credit card fees can be up to 3% of the donation (though we are grateful however you give!)
With tax changes next year, some may benefit from giving next year's gifts this year - you can prepay your 2018 pledge in 2017 if that is helpful to you. Our theme for next year is "Committed to Christ."
St. James is a church that is respected in the community because of all the ways we provide for our neighbors and the city. We don't want to have to cut back on our ministries because of a lack of funding. Please pray, and make a donation before the end of the year to help us continue "Connecting People with God in Practical Ways."
God Bless,
Emanuel Cleaver III
