As we look back on 2017, we reflect on the beautiful and sometimes unexpected ways God has continued to heal, restore and make real the Kingdom of God "on earth as it is in heaven.”
We’ve been privileged to be a part of:
- Countless individuals discovering and embracing their Identity as God’s beloved and living into their call as ambassadors of reconciliation
- Racial divides being exposed in churches and pastors/leaders choosing the hard and necessary road toward restoration
- Families that have been fractured by partisan politics choosing to seek understanding and re-committing to a Jesus whose Kingdom transcends the kingdoms of this world
- Christian universities teaching their students to not just know about Jesus, but to follow him with their everyday lives
- And so many more stories with faces, names and real life transformation…These stories affirm the declaration of the cross that, while darkness and division are real, peacemakers have the last word.
We intend to:
- Increase the accessibility of our Immersion Trips in order to train 400 influencers for everyday peacemaking.
- Update our Immersions and Workshops to become even more conducive for multi-ethnic training.
- Launch a 9-month masters-level program for 20 faith leaders that spans the urban/rural, ethnic, ecumenical, and economic divides.
- Host a Renewal Retreat for our Israeli, Palestinian and Mexican peacemaking colleagues.
Will you help us grow our capacity for impact and invest in peace by making a one-time year end donation or joining our Embers Community though an ongoing monthly donation?
May the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, homes and our world as we enter 2018 together. - Jon, Jer and the Global Immersion Team
