Resurrection West,
Thank you to the hundreds of you that turned out on MLK MEGA MISSION Serve Day this past Monday. We had record attendance with 361 serving, but that’s not the best part…..
- We packed 30,024 meals to go international with Rise Against Hunger.
- We packed 1,020 lunches to be distributed to those who are homeless and in-need here in KC.
- We wrote 1,020 cards of encouragement to go into lunch bags.
- We made 628 encouraging crafts (93 for bed ministry recipients, 141 for Bookmobile participants, 125 for KidsTLC children, 205 for nursing home residents, 64 for our children to take home).
- We made 379 Valentines for Veterans.
This Sunday we continue growing in our understanding of Christianity & World Religions as Pastor Adam leads us in taking a close look at Buddhism. What do Buddhists believe? And Why? What can we learn as Christians to help strengthen our faith as disciples of Christ. Invite a friend as we continue this important series of sermons to better understand the world around us and how we can grow together in loving God and loving neighbor.
Finally, I hope you’ll consider the great opportunities to grow and serve listed below, especially the W.O.W (Women of West) Conference this Fridaynight. Over 160 women are already registered. Pastor Molly will certainly bring an inspiring word to help all who attend experience rest for your souls! Click the link below to register and invite a friend now!
Looking forward to worshipping with you on Sunday,
Jason
