Armenia Youth Conference
More than 100 young people from six Commonwealth of Independent States countries gathered in Armenia this month to worship and fellowship at a Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC). Pray that the young people who attended the Armenia NYC will continue to hold high the banner of Christ, no matter the outside pressures that they face.
Taiwan Spirit of Revival

Venezuela Rains
Heavy rains are predicted in areas of Venezuela that are already saturated from recent storms. The Nazarene Holistic Ministry Coordinator in Venezuela, Carlos Cordero, says that the current rains may be worse than previous storms and they will hamper recovery efforts. Please pray that no lives will perish and that anything lost will be restored.
Rest Stop Ministry
Pray for the Rest Stop ministry as they open the doors to a new facility in Tennessee next month. Rest Stop stands for “Restore Survivors, Stop Oppression” and the new space will offer shelter and be a place of restoration for victims of human trafficking. Rosemary (Rose) Chatterjee
Pray for Rosemary (Rose) Chatterjee who is dealing with health concerns, undergoing tests, and facing possible surgery. She is the wife of Amitava Chatterjee, superintendent of the Eastern India District.
Frances Vine
Retired missionary Frances Vine has been dealing with health issues and was recently hospitalized in Southern California after suffering a fall that caused a subdural hematoma. She is alert and doing fairly well but says her entire body hurts. She appreciates the prayer support of her Nazarene family. Frances served in the Philippines for 23 years.
Nancy Miller
Nancy Miller has been hospitalized in Northern Philippines. The doctors believe she is suffering from venous reflux, which means the valves in her leg veins are not working properly. Pray for the doctors treating Nancy, that they will find the right treatment to bring a full recovery. Nancy and her husband, George, serve at Philippine Nazarene College in the Northern Philippines.
David Phillips
Pray for missionary David Phillips who underwent colon cancer surgery on July 26 in Thailand. David’s wife, Naomi, writes “The surgery went well and the doctor is very pleased with David’s recovery.” Pray for a complete recovery. The Phillips serve on the Asia-Pacific Region where David is the Southeast Asia Field Strategy Coordinator.
Erin Meier
Erin Meier, missionary serving in Papua New Guinea, had shoulder surgery on July 24 and will be recovering for the next eight weeks. Pray for her recovery and healing during this time.
Global Concerns – Body of Christ
South Sudan
Four years after South Sudan was declared its own country, the people are suffering as a 20-month conflict rages on. The conflict has led to rapidly deteriorating humanitarian conditions. Pray for the people of South Sudan, that in the midst of violence and deprivation, they will sense comfort and provision from the almighty God. Pray that leaders of the warring factions will lay down their arms and reconcile their differences. Articles about this crisis can be found on any major news outlet.

PRAISE
Armenia Youth Conference
   More than 100 young people from six CIS countries gathered in Armenia this month to worship and fellowship at a Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC). The students came from Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Armenia, and two Central Asia countries. Despite political tensions between Russia and Ukraine the past two years, and peaceful protests in Armenia right before the conference, participants joined together to exalt Christ. Andrei Manakov, a group leader from Ukraine said, “I’ve been to many conferences and I have never felt anything like this before. I really have felt God’s Spirit present in this gathering.”
   Thank you, Lord! Pray that the young people who attended the Armenia NYC will continue to hold high the banner of Christ, no matter the outside pressures that they face.

The Nazarene Holistic Ministry Coordinator in Venezuela, Carlos Cordero, says that the current rains may be worse than previous storms and they will hamper recovery efforts. Please pray that no lives will perish and that anything lost will be restored by our mighty Lord, Jehovah Jirah.

Pray for the “Rest Stop” ministry as they open the doors to a new facility in Tennessee next month. Retired missionary Frances Vine has been dealing with health issues for the past few months. Recently she was hospitalized in Southern California after suffering a fall that caused a subdural hematoma. She is alert and doing fairly well but says her entire body hurts.
