Pastor Penny Ellwood's eNote for Friday, 19 May 2017 - The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection Blue Springs in Blue Springs, Missouri, United States

Friday, May 19, 2017

Hello Resurrection Blue Springs,

I hope you are all doing well on this Friday.  I’m getting a slow start on the enote as I was hanging out with my granddaughter this morning.  She’s in Children’s Mercy while they try to get to the bottom of some breathing issues.  We had some quality time and good giggles.  This time spent in the hospital watching the caregivers around me and being on the receiving end of their care made me appreciate all the more those of you who dedicate your lives to nursing and looking after people who are struggling with health challenges.  I just want to say thank you and encourage the rest of you to take a moment to express thanks to a professional caregiver the next time you have an opportunity.

This Sunday, we continue our series on The Birds and The Bees by taking a look at sexuality and two key biblical ideas related to forming healthy and good romantic and intimate relationships.    We’ll also be recognizing our graduates with a gift in worship and giving you a first look at all the exciting plans we have for this summer.

Following our morning worship, at 12:15 pm we’ll be hosting a Pizza with the Pastor.  This is an opportunity for those who are considering membership or would just like more information about Resurrection,  your pastor, being a United Methodist  or how to get more involved.  Sign up on the link below and plan to join us after worship on Sunday
