I had a moment several years ago when a mentor of mine challenged me to look at my bookshelf and my calendar to see how diverse my readings were and who I was sitting with to learn about leadership. I was particularly embarrassed that it was mostly black and white and overwhelmingly male. I had very few Hispanic, Native, Asian or Women influences speaking to me about theology, ministry and leadership. She helped me see a blind spot. What does your bookshelf look like and who are you learning from?
If you are like me, you have to be intentional about broadening your table. Although there are many other reasons why this next webinar is important, I hope you'll consider taking time Monday, May 22 from 11:30 am - 1 pm (EST) for our "Multiethnic Women Roundtable" to learn from some of the best and brightest women I know talk about the intersection of Faith, Race and Gender.
