Stephen M. Miller in Olathe, Kansas, United States for Thursday, 30 November 2017 "Genesis, it’s new again" by Stephen M. Miller - Bible blog of award-winning bestselling Christian author, Stephen M. Miller.
I’M FINALLY DONE with the Genesis leader’s guide and atlas I’ve been working on since summertime.
It’s for my newest project, the Casual English Bible website.
I had to split this edition of the small-group Bible study because Genesis is a huge book. It’s filled with some of the most famous stories in the Bible. And it covers a lot of sand.
If I put the whole study in one PDF download, we’d be looking at about 150 pages, 400 discussion questions and answers, along with about 50 high definition maps…a total download of about 75 MB.
That seemed crazy heavy for a PDF download. And that’s why there’s now Genesis part one and two.
Below is a link to the online version of the mountain of Genesis maps, most of them in 3D-style. From there, you can click on the thumbnails and take a look at a bigger versions.
Maps in the PDF download are even larger.
If you’d like to know what questions show up in the leader’s guide for Genesis or for any other book in the Casual English Bible, just look at the end of each chapter. The leader’s guide answers those questions. For Bible study leaders who like the discussion questions and the maps, here are the links to the $1 PDF downloads.
Thanks, counselor
If you like the leader’s guides and maps, you can thank the lawyers.
All I wanted to do was create an easy-reading Bible paraphrase, with helpful notes and small-group Bible study discussion questions. But copyright lawyers said I couldn’t register the name “Casual English Bible” unless I linked it to other products.
They doubled my work, and the time it will take me to complete this paraphrase.
I hope I live long enough.
If I don’t, you can blame the lawyers.
I would. But I’d be dead.
That said, I do hope the leader’s guides and atlases I never intended to create out of thin air will somehow help someone sometime before I die.
